Home Detoxification Remedies
Are there any home-remedies for detoxification?
Are there any ways to “detoxify” your body without taking diet pills or any other over the counter pills?
There are many areas of the body which can be “detoxed” or cleansed, including the kidneys, liver, colon, gall bladder, bowels, blood and lymphatic system.
Some good food and supplement items which help cleanse and detox are: Garlic, echinacea, ginger root, parsley leaf, fresh vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower, broccoli sprouts, onions and artichokes, and fresh fruits such as apples, pears, oranges, grapefruit, bananas, raisins, pineapple, mango, kiwi fruit, raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, melon, sultanas, nectarines and peaches.

In addition, watermelon is a great kidney cleanser and kidney stone remedy – and when you have regular one fasts of consuming nothing but watermelon it will also help cleanse your bowels and colon.
Beetroot juice and coconut oil are great for cleansing the liver and gall bladder and coffee enemas cleanse and help keep the bile ducts open and flowing (I know – yuck!).
To detox heavy metals, use cilantro (coriander) and chlorella.
Lemon water helps cleanse the blood. A more potent blood cleanser which can be made at home with a bit of effort is the Blood Tonic recipe of fifth generation herbalist Dru Browning. See:
